All swimmers training with Somerset Hills State School Amateur Swimming Club are required to be registered and entitles swimmers to train and/or participate at Club Nights and/or compete and represent SHSSASC.

PARENT MEMBERSHIP : we ask all parents to register (click same link as point 1 above) to be covered by insurance when volunteering. IT IS FREE

Each season our Head Coach prepares a list of competitions that will cater for our club, called the Targeted Meets.

Swimming Queensland is making a concerted effort to encourage Meet Organisers to have Meet Nominations for their meets made online through the ClubLANE Online Meet Entry system (OME) that SHSSASC members may be familiar with.

If you have not already done so, you will need to obtain the ClubLANE username and password for each swimmer wanting to nominate for meets (who must be a Dolphin, or Competitive Swimmer and must be Financial).  If you do not have the username/password, please email race.sec@seals.org.au or registrar@seals.org.au  to be sent a password reset email.
Targeted Swim Meets: These are Coach selected meets, Heach Coach or Assistance Coach will be there to assist our swimmers in warm up, pre-race plan and post-race talk to each individual swimmer.  We encouraged all our swimmers to attend so that your Coaches can assess your progress.

All other Swim Meets (Non-Targeted): Swimmers are allowed to nominate for meets outside the targeted meets, and can be found on the Swimming Queensland website . These events can usually be entered via ClubLANE. If you need assistance, please contact our Race Secretary race.sec@seals.org.au for assistance.

And remember …

  • All entry fees must be paid in full at the time of nominating
  • Entries will not be processed until entry fee payment has been received by the club
  • Entries will not be processed if there are squad fees owing to the club

If you have any questions, please contact our Race Secretary at race.sec@seals.org.au

Timekeeping: SHSSASC is required to provide time keepers at many of the meets we go to. If you nominate your child to swim, you will be required to do some timekeeping. Please make yourself available as requested. Nominations will not be accepted for Swimmers whose parents continually say no to timekeeping. If everyone helps only a short period of time will be required by each parent on the day.
